Warehouse Porter

Overview

You will be in charge of supporting warehouse's daily operations as a Warehouse Porter. Among your responsibilities will include receiving and stocking pharmaceuticals, helping with inventory control, and keeping the warehouse neat and orderly.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying contents and reporting discrepancies. • Unloading and loading materials, products, and equipment from trucks, containers, and pallets. • Organizing, labeling, and storing inventory in designated areas, ensuring efficient use of space. • Retrieving and preparing items for shipment, packing and wrapping as necessary. • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse, including sweeping, dusting, and disposing of waste. • Assisting with inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical inventories. • Supporting other warehouse staff, such as pickers, packers, and shippers, as needed.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or its equivalent. • While not necessary, prior experience in a logistics or warehousing function is advantageous. • The capacity to move and raise large items. • Strong organizing and detail-oriented abilities. • Strong teamwork and communication abilities. • The ability to work on a flexible schedule, which includes holidays and weekends. • Must have an interest in IT.
