Overview

Working with governments and private sector clients throughout the entire lifecycle of infrastructure and capital projects, from inception to completion, as an Associate Director in the Infrastructure & Capital Projects (ICP) team will enable you to plan, finance, manage, and deliver projects in an economical and effective manner. You will work on a variety of infrastructure projects in a variety of sectors, such as transportation, energy, telecommunications, and regional economic growth in Africa. These projects will involve policy and strategy, planning, business case, and program/project management engagements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business development projects, such as locating new prospects, creating and executing engagement pursuit plans, drafting proposals, and overseeing bidding procedures; • Attend conferences, external meetings, and industry events on behalf of the company. • Creating and maintaining networks with different stakeholders, including regulators, procurers, and senior management from clients, both within and externally. • Sustaining solid connections with customers, partners, stakeholders, and the industry at large; • To guarantee the effective completion of the project, coordinate with a variety of stakeholders, such as governmental organizations, contractors, and financial institutions. • Assist with social media marketing, thought leadership, and conference sponsorship to advance the growth of the ICP practice and the Bridgewater brand. • Oversee the creation of information memoranda, financial models, project risk matrixes, term sheets, feasibility and concept reports, options analyses, payment arrangements, and presentations for senior management. • Oversee the creation of proposal materials for many projects. • Oversee the creation and examination of intricate financial models • Take part in the formulation of capital project and infrastructure financing, grantmaking, and strategic planning. • Assist customers with funding, negotiating, project structuring, and procurement strategies. • Give customers advice on capital project and infrastructure management best practices and assist them in putting these suggestions into action. • Recognize and evaluate the needs of your clients in order to give them the knowledge they need to make wise decisions. • Gain a thorough understanding of a variety of industries, including energy, health, and transportation. • Provide excellent customer service by acting as a point of contact and liaison between Bridgewater and the teams of the clients. • Overseeing internal transaction management standards, including obtaining all internal approvals and taking charge of all client risk and compliance assessments. • Assisting with the planning, creation, and upkeep of a high-performance culture within the team; providing coaching and mentoring to assist with learning and development programs; and carrying out any additional business development, project delivery, and team management tasks as needed to enable effective team management.

Requirements

• A minimum of a master's degree in business, economics, development studies, or a similar discipline. • It is advantageous to have relevant professional credentials like ACCA, CFA, or ICA. • Ten years or more of minimum relevant experience in program management, policy analysis, and economic research. • A track record of effectively overseeing and carrying out major capital and infrastructure projects from start to finish. • A track record of successfully managing several projects and deadlines in a hectic setting. • Familiarity with organizing and administering program/project controls, such as scheduling, budgetary, integration, quality, and stakeholder management; • Strong teamwork abilities gained from working in multidisciplinary teams to produce technical reports, business cases, and/or infrastructure planning studies;
