The new hires will play a crucial role in helping the current team translate project goals and objectives into community deliverables.
• Updating all pertinent district farmer group databases with information on planting supplies, volumes, training, input, and so forth • Provide expert guidance on sustainable farming and environmental methods. • Take the lead in all community development initiatives (CAPs, VSLA, child labor, etc.). • Oversee thriving farmer initiatives by enrolling farmers in input packages. • Send the sector manager a report each week. • Make sure that every farmer shipping cocoa to the district has a 100% registration rate. • Arrange for client visits. • Create nurseries to supply farmers with planting material.
• A diploma in community development, social work, and agriculture is offered (undergraduate and graduate degrees are preferred). • Sufficient agronomic and production knowledge and expertise with cocoa. • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the capacity to lead a Multicultural team of professionals and people from various backgrounds. • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in Microsoft Office applications to a proficient level • Able to communicate in the indigenous tongue in Ghana's southern region • Self-driven and has strong time and stress management abilities. • Strong multitasking and attention to detail organizational abilities. • Able to ride a motorcycle, willing to work and travel 60% of the time in Ghana's remote communities
