Automotive Panel Beater

Overview

The Automotive Panel Beater is in charge of replacing damaged panels, eliminating dents, and repairing and rebuilding car bodywork and frames. Along with making sure that all repairs are completed precisely and effectively, the Automotive Panel Beater will also carry out any essential welding and straightening tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles to assess repair needs • Remove damaged panels and components (e.g., bumpers, doors, fenders) • Straighten and repair metal frames and body panels • Replace damaged panels with new or used parts • Weld and bond replacement panels to ensure strong joints • Sand and prime surfaces for painting • Collaborate with painters and other technicians to ensure a smooth repair process

Requirements

• Proven background in automotive panel beating or a related field; adept use of tools and equipment for body restoration; in-depth understanding of panel beating procedures and repair techniques • Excellent physical strength and endurance Capability to work both alone and collaboratively Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail • Interpersonal and communication abilities that work • A high school degree or its equivalent • A plus would be any relevant credentials or occupational training.
