Structural Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified and seasoned structural engineer with a track record of overseeing and managing significant projects. You will be in charge of all engineering activities as a structural engineer to guarantee the highest levels of client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Create inventive and effective structural designs to guarantee structures that are both aesthetically pleasing and sound structurally. • Utilize state-of-the-art instruments and thorough studies to guarantee the safety and integrity of projects. • Test processes often to make sure they adhere to all rules, and assess all plans and drawings before putting them into practice. • To create and incorporate processes and procedures (Project Execution Systems), work in conjunction with other HODs, Project Managers, and Construction Managers. • Observe the way each project is being executed, from start to finish. • Assist the project development, estimating, and on-site engineering teams technically. • Provide a regular report on engineering operations to the head of the technical department. Make sure that the pertinent KPIs are reported accurately and on schedule. • Verify that engineering, quality, environmental, and health and safety standards and procedures are followed. • Oversee the daily operations of the engineering teams. • In building projects, oversee all engineering procedures and offer subject matter knowledge as needed. • Give the group direction, organization, instruction, and coaching. • Collaborate with the engineering team to convert the site plan into departmental and yearly performance targets.

Requirements

• A first-degree minimum in civil engineering • A Ghana Institution of Engineering registered member • Familiarity with CAD and Simple and Advanced GPS software • Capable of using a leveling instrument, Schmidt Hammer, rebar scanner, and total station • Paying close attention to details • Sound judgment Critical Thinking • Outstanding ability to solve problems • Time management and organization abilities • Five years or more of work experience in a comparable role
