Senior Auditor

Overview

You will be responsible for managing audit teams, directing audit engagements, and making sure that auditing standards and legal requirements are followed as a Senior Auditor. In order to improve internal controls and the accuracy of financial reporting, you will collaborate closely with customers to evaluate existing financial procedures, identify risks, and offer strategic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, execution, and conclusion of audit engagements, making sure that the goals, schedules, and financial restrictions are followed. • To find areas for improvement and possible hazards, examine and evaluate internal controls, accounting records, and client financial statements. • Oversee audit teams and assist junior auditors in developing their professional skills by offering advice, training, and mentorship. • Make risk assessments, create audit plans, and test strategies specific to the business and industry of each customer. • Using clear, succinct written reports and presentations, effectively communicate audit findings, suggestions, and observations to clients, management teams, and stakeholders. • Work together with customers to address audit findings, put corrective measures in place, improve financial reporting procedures, and strengthen internal control systems. • To guarantee audit quality and compliance, stay informed on modifications to industry best practices, legal requirements, and auditing standards.

Requirements

• A fully qualified chartered accountant (such as a CPA, ACCA, or CA) is required. possess a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline. • proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as audit software (Auditfile, DraftWorx, and/or CaseWare). • at least two years of experience in a supervisory capacity during the course of five years of audit experience in a recognized audit company. • thorough understanding of Ghanaian regulatory requirements, accounting concepts, and auditing standards (such as IFRS, ISA, and US GAAP). • Excellent analytical abilities and meticulousness, with the capacity to recognize financial risks, evaluate internal controls, and suggest workable solutions. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, including the capacity to establish connections with customers, manage audit teams, and communicate results to stakeholders
