Overview

In your capacity as the company's head of finance, you will be in charge of budgeting, financial reporting, and the analysis of financial statements. You will offer strategic financial advice to foster company expansion and guarantee adherence to legal requirements. You will be stationed in our Accra location for this on-site position.

Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business objectives, drive growth, and maximize profitability. • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and statements, to inform stakeholders and support decision-making. • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, such as market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, to protect the organization's assets and reputation. • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to drive business outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and optimize resource allocation. • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure expertise and excellence. • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, laws, and standards, maintaining the highest levels of integrity, transparency, and corporate governance. • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, auditors, and the executive team, to communicate financial performance, strategies, and risks effectively.

Requirements

• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in financial statement interpretation • Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting; comprehension of financial concepts and rules; outstanding aptitude for problem-solving and making decisions. • Accuracy and meticulousness in financial analysis • Strong time-management and organizing abilities • Exceptional communication abilities both in writing and speaking • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline • A bonus is having a relevant qualification (ICA, CA, FCCA, MBA, etc.).
