Overview

A project manager is needed to join our team at a construction company that develops civil construction projects in Ghana. We are able to provide prospects for advancement within the organization in addition to an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the projects and work with stakeholders to establish the objectives, parameters, and deliverables. • Oversee suppliers and subcontractors and take steps to resolve any problems that may come up throughout a project. • Collaborate with the production manager to oversee the budget and timeline while delivering a final product of the highest calibre. • Oversee labour, supplies, and machinery; code costs; submittals; schedules; minutes of meetings; change orders, etc. • Managing project challenges and upholding good working relationships with architects, subcontractors, production managers, site managers, and foremen means being client-facing. • ensuring project delivery success, financial success, and client happiness while cultivating enduring client relationships. • providing stakeholders and the higher management with frequent progress updates. • surpassing legal requirements while upholding strict environmental, health, and safety standards. • holding frequent resource scheduling meetings and project progress reviews to guarantee efficient coordination and communication. • aiming for a lost-time accident rate of zero and making sure that contracts and projects are handled carefully.

Requirements

• A degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a similar discipline; an advanced degree is desirable. • 5–10 years of experience in the building industry, ideally in project management, with an emphasis on industrial and civil projects. • Extensive practical knowledge and comprehension of building and its related procedures. • Exhibited proficiency in overseeing intricate projects, exhibiting robust project execution skills. • Expertise in value-added constructability techniques and continuous improvement strategies. • Familiarity in working in joint venture environments both before and after construction. • A track record of securing project profitability, keeping clients, and promoting business expansion. • Outstanding leadership abilities and a history of motivating, coaching, and guiding colleagues. • The capacity to flourish in a changing, dynamic environment while demonstrating resilience and adaptation. • Dedication to attracting, nurturing, and keeping elite personnel while skillfully assigning tasks to others. • Strong negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills; fluency in English; outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities; meticulous attention to detail. • The capacity to multitask, perform under duress, and fulfill deadlines. • Both a fantastic team player and an autonomous worker. • Focused on providing excellent customer service, able to establish and preserve strong bonds with suppliers and customers. • Capacity to prioritize and plan tasks; monitor field reports, field schedules, change orders, and weekly progress reports.
