Systems and networks that are vast and complicated, such as servers, mainframes, minicomputers, LANs, and WANs, will be analyzed, planned, implemented, maintained, troubleshooted, and enhanced by the System Engineer. The stability, integrity, and effective functioning of necessary information systems that serve fundamental organizational demands are ensured by this job. The systems engineer will also help other engineers by providing technical resources.
• Offer assistance and technical services in the following areas: • Network level: cloud, network infrastructure, security internal systems, routers, firewalls, and WAN and LAN connectivity. • Technologies connected to Microsoft include SharePoint, SQL, Exchange, and Windows Server. • Technologies for virtualization: Microsoft, VMware, and Citrix. • Support for VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix remote access solutions. • System notifications and warnings are managed and monitored remotely. • Work on escalated support issues pertaining to LAN and WAN connection, security, routers, firewalls, and Microsoft's key business products, as well as remote access solutions. • Work along with the sales team to find new goods and solutions, engineer projects, and look into solutions for current customers. • upkeep of all network infrastructure and computer systems' documentation. • Create and execute technological solutions for clients' large computer systems. • Organize, plan, and carry out thorough deployment plans. • Organize the subsystems' activity and supervise the integration of new application solutions with the files and systems that are already in place. • Hold meetings with designated system users to assess usage, pinpoint changes to needs, and help integrate, boost productivity, or save expenses. • Give functional/user area managers and project teams working on complicated systems professional advice and guidance. • As required, assume project management responsibilities for infrastructure and network initiatives. • Contribute technically to the project controlling and estimating procedures. • Adhere to the company's policies, procedures, and practices in order to proactively promote compliance with health and safety laws. • Oversee the daily activities supporting network infrastructures, sophisticated storage, data transfer, disaster recovery procedures, and server data backups. • Manage system licensing and carry out difficult software and operating system updates. • Assist users with technical support (help desk) by addressing issues with platform or network performance. • Take the lead in setting up and maintaining office and/or production software, as well as utility and auxiliary software (such as office application suites and virus/malware protection). • Set up groups' and individuals' access permissions or security settings. • Assist in testing, diagnosing, and fixing issues with the system. • As assigned by the manager, assume the role of Lead Systems Engineer on intricate projects. • Give systems engineers guidance and supervision in both technical and programmatic areas. • Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and sales initiatives for business development activities.
• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline (or comparable experience). • Five years of solid experience in a related position or as a systems engineer. • Strong familiarity with networking gear, software, and protocols. • Familiarity with containerization and virtualization. • Knowledge of automation and scripting technologies. • Strong grasp of security concepts and best practices. • Good communication and problem-solving abilities. • Capacity to function both alone and collaboratively in a hectic setting. • A benefit is having relevant certificates
