As a ground handling officer, you'd be responsible for coordinating aircraft turnaround activities, managing baggage handling, supervising fueling operations, ensuring efficient aircraft movement on the ground, and liaising with various airport personnel to facilitate smooth operations. It's a role that plays a vital part in the overall efficiency and safety of airport operations.
Ascertain that the Company, GCAA, and IOSA requirements are met by all ground operations terminal activities.
Make sure that departures happen on schedule, and help the station supervisor with daily operations.
Help travelers through the check-in process.
Make sure that the task is prioritized according to the designated shifts.
Oversee all passenger handling operations and guarantee that all third-party contractors contracted by AWA provide high-quality services.
Make that the shift assignments follow the Ground Handling Manual and SOPs.
For quality control, conduct routine terminal and passenger handling inspections of third parties.
Assign staff members’ responsibility and provide guidance so they may meet departmental productivity targets.
Report on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis within the stipulated time ranges.
Remain present and accessible to the employees at all times in the workplace.
Make sure every passenger is treated with courtesy.
A university graduate or equivalent.
At least two (2) years’ experience in Passenger Handling/Airport or airport operations.
Legal right to work in Ghana.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English with good communication skills.
Must process the ability to resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
Must be able to work under pressure and in a stressful environment.
Strong customer service aptitude.
