Customs clearance supervisor

Overview

In order to maintain conformity with national and international laws, the Customs Clearance Supervisor oversees the customs clearance procedures for both incoming and outgoing cargo. In this capacity, you will be managing a customs team, supervising documents, and collaborating with authorities and customs brokers

Responsibilities

• Supervise the customs clearance process and guarantee precise paperwork. • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and tariff classifications. • Lead and develop a team of customs officers to guarantee excellent work. • Keep up good communication with internal teams, goods forwarders, and customs officials. • Reduce the cost of customs-related expenses and control taxes and levies. • Maintain a record of every transaction involving customs and create performance reports. • To increase efficiency, implement new technology and make ongoing process improvements.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a similar discipline. • Three to five years of expertise in logistics or customs clearance. • Familiarity with Harmonised Tariff Schedules (HTS) and customs laws.
