Logistics/Transport Officer

Overview

The logistics/transport officer will be responsible for managing, coordinating, overseeing the moving of goods and materials, managing the loading, unloading and transportation of products and the daily operations of the company's logistics/transport department The Logistics/Transportation Supervisor will be a key leader in developing and implementing strategies and plans to improve department efficiency and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all transport, receiving, and distribution operations • Work closely with warehouse and transport manager, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods • Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency, customer service, and cost savings • Manage the logistics staff and coordinate scheduling and workloads • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations • Monitor inventory levels, and adjust ordering and storage accordingly • Track order fulfillment, and investigate and resolve discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field • At least 2-5 years of prior experience in a supervisory role in logistics, manufacturing or related field • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Able to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
