Senior Construction Engineer

Overview

To join our clients' team, we are looking for a Senior Engineer that is committed, experienced, and meticulous. The senior construction engineer will be in charge of overseeing and carrying out geotechnical and hydrology-related design calculations with civil engineers and engineers from other related domains. will be answering to the Head of Construction and the Regional Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee the completion of geotechnical and hydrology-related design calculations by civil engineers and engineers from other related disciplines. • Project management includes monitoring the projects' progress and reporting on them in all places. • Technical evaluation and approval of design calculations. • Business development responsibilities include preparing and submitting bids and proposals, as well as examining project expenses and controls. • audits and site examinations of tailings storage facilities. • Resolving issues related to project activity. • Depending on team communication, creating and sending management a weekly or monthly report that includes updates and briefs on all project activity. • Participating in frequent customer project meetings

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and/or a master's degree in geotechnical engineering or project management. • At least ten (10) years of experience in mining or minerals processing in civil or geotechnical positions. • Strong foundation in civil structure design and construction. • A member of a reputable professional association (preferred). • Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office products. • Adept at using AutoCAD software.
