You will be in charge of maintaining the company's regulatory coverage in the operational market as well as its risk and compliance frameworks. You will serve as Ghana's designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and local Data Protection contact person in addition to maintaining licenses through regulatory reporting and interactions.
• Keep an eye on and guarantee that all requirements of the legislation under which the business is licensed are being followed. • Keep an eye on and evaluate the company's compliance with relevant external laws (such as AML/CTF laws), other rules and directives from relevant authorities, and the company's policies and framework on a regular basis. • Control and periodically evaluate whether the AML/CTF Framework is being applied appropriately and enough inside the company to stop money laundering and terrorism financing (ML/TF). • Employees, contractors, and others engaged in comparable operations should get guidance and assistance regarding regulatory requirements pertaining to financial crime, conduct, data protection, enterprise risk, and consumer protection. • By keeping up with national risk registers and carrying out regular risk assessments, you can make sure that the company's risk management strategy is being implemented. • Comply with local regulatory requirements when doing the annual AML risk assessment. • Conduct Company Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA) on a quarterly basis. • Perform product risk analyses in support of requests for product approvals or new product initiatives the company is working on. • Organise the completion of the mandatory theme risk assessments in the local jurisdictions, such as the Jurisdictional Regulatory Risk Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), and Consumer Protection Risk Assessments. • Local risk rules, procedures, and checklists are reviewed and updated under the direction of the governance function.
• At least seven years of demonstrated experience in a risk and compliance position in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a related field Experience with regulatory engagements, such as obtaining licenses, filing regulatory reports, and conducting payments and fintech inspections, is advantageous but not necessary. • Outstanding familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements and processes • An important advantage is having prior experience working in the mobile money sector. • You should also be a confident communicator with excellent analytical skills and a great attention to detail. • You should also be exceptionally attentive and proud of your work in all areas. • Excellent organisational ability’s ability to convert long-term planning into internal procedures and workflows
