• Lead the regional commercial team with vision while cultivating a culture of high performance. • Create and carry out business plans that complement PIL's worldwide goals and industry developments. • Oversee the commercial division's budget and P&L to guarantee cost reduction and profitability. • To increase revenue and market share in West Africa, find and seize new business opportunities. • Develop and preserve a solid rapport with important customers, authorities, and business associates. • To boost market penetration and generate competitive advantages, form new strategic alliances. • To make proactive strategy adjustments, keep an eye on consumer behaviour, market developments, and rival activity. • To increase profitability, manage pricing, contract negotiations, and sales strategy. • Put customer retention techniques into practice to improve long-term business connections and client pleasure. • Establish defined objectives and performance standards when leading, coaching, and mentoring a group of business professionals. • Create talent pipelines and succession plans to improve the region's leadership capacities. • Encourage a cooperative and welcoming workplace that supports ongoing education and professional growth. • Make ensuring that company rules, ethical standards, and local regulatory frameworks are followed. • Encourage risk management programs to reduce operational and financial risks. • Contribute to a sustainable maritime future by aligning with PIL's dedication to sustainability and ESG objectives.
• Business administration, logistics, or a similar discipline at the bachelor's degree level (MBA recommended). • Ten or more years of senior commercial leadership experience in the transportation, logistics, or shipping sector. • Shown expertise in overseeing regional operations, with an emphasis on P&L management and business development. • Strong familiarity with West African market dynamics and the African shipping and logistics sector. • Shown aptitude for motivating and collaborating with high-achieving teams to achieve outcomes.
