Effective cross-departmental cooperation is necessary for the position in order to provide coordination between communications, finance, and programs. • Create and put into action a thorough plan for communicating both internally and outside. • Oversee the company's external communication channels, social media accounts, and website. • To increase the organization's influence and advocacy activities, provide top-notch material (newsletters, reports, videos, and press releases). • Keep an eye on public discourse and media coverage of disability rights on a regional, national, continental, and international level, and respond promptly and pertinently. • Work in tandem with GFD's financial team to guarantee appropriate funding for advocacy and communication initiatives. • Create communication resources that are easy for donors to understand, like reports, case studies, and grant bids. • Make ensuring that donor visibility policies are followed and that deliverables pertaining to communications are reported on time. • Work with finance staff to create financial reports for advocacy-related activities and keep an eye on the budgets for advocacy campaigns. • Create and oversee effective internal communication channels to promote information sharing and improve employee and member involvement. • Plan and lead staff and partner capacity-building workshops on advocacy, storytelling, and media relations. • When necessary, offer or carry out crisis communication assistance. • Provide residents with assistance with digital literacy.
• A degree in development studies, public relations, journalism, communications, or a similar discipline. • expertise in disability advocacy or non-profit organisations. • An understanding of budgeting procedures and project management tools. • knowledge of the requirements for donor communication and initiatives sponsored by donors. • Strong proficiency in accessible and disability-inclusive communication
