For our In Shop Department in Accra, Ghana, we are seeking a skilled Level II Engine Workshop Technician to join our team with a focus on service.

Responsibilities

• Professional Diagnostics and Repairs: Your proficiency in performing diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products guarantees that engines operate smoothly and effectively, reducing client downtime. • Adherence to Procedures: You may guarantee that intricate repairs are carried out precisely, safely, and to a high standard of quality by implementing established procedures and policies. • Engine Overhaul: Your ability to disassemble, examine, clean, and reassemble engines and parts contributes to the longevity and enhanced functionality of engine products. • Preventative Maintenance: By carrying out preventative maintenance in accordance with your evaluations, you can assist clients and the workshop save time and money by averting significant engine faults. • Team Support: By helping more seasoned technicians with diagnostics and repair plans, you may improve the team's overall skill level and create a collaborative environment. • Accurate Documentation: The reputation of the workshop is enhanced by accurately completing the necessary paperwork, which guarantees that all work is tracked, warranties are upheld, and quality requirements are fulfilled. • Continuous Learning: You become a useful member of the team by keeping your skills current with business requirements and industry standards through continuous training. • Safety and Cleanliness: You and your coworkers can operate in a safe setting with fewer accidents and incidents if you keep your workspace clean and safe and follow health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Engine Technician with Apprentice Training (Preferred) • A vocational degree from an appropriate technical school • It would be beneficial to know about Cummins engines. • A valid driver's license in the area • Knowledge and/or expertise with engine products at an intermediate level • Licensing may be necessary for this post in order to comply with export controls or sanctions laws. • Strong Diagnostic Skills: The capacity to convert client complaints into efficient troubleshooting strategies, employing diagnostic software, mechanical and electronic repair tools, and other instruments to precisely identify and fix problems. • A thorough understanding of engine systems includes the ability to diagnose and repair them effectively using tools and service manuals, as well as an understanding of the interactions between internal and exterior electrical and mechanical systems. • Product Repair and Maintenance Proficiency: The ability to fix and maintain mechanical and electrical products, adhere to standards to guarantee high-quality repairs, and carry out inspections and replacements to cut costs and return products to their pre-failure state. • Effective Technical Escalation: The capacity to collect and apply technical issue data, effectively escalate complicated difficulties, and record all troubleshooting procedures in order to guarantee precise and prompt customer issue solutions.
