We are seeking an experienced Overseas Business Development Manager (Petrochemicals) to drive market expansion and growth within the petrochemical sector across multiple international regions.
• Market Research: Analyze global market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to uncover new growth opportunities. • Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners in various international markets. • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for market entry and expansion, evaluating risks and opportunities. • Sales and Negotiation: Lead sales efforts, negotiate contracts, and align deals with company objectives. • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations. • Compliance: Ensure adherence to local regulations, trade laws, and environmental standards across different countries. • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on market conditions, sales performance, and progress on strategic initiatives.
• Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a similar industry, with expertise in petrochemicals and related sectors. • Qualifications: A Chemical Engineering background, along with an MBA in Marketing or a Master’s in International Business, is preferred. • Industry Experience: Experience marketing chemicals and solvents within the following industries in South African markets: o Flexible Packaging o Ink Manufacturing o Paint & Coatings o Resin Manufacturing o Liquid Soaps and Detergents o Cosmetics & Perfumery o Oilfield Chemicals o Rubber & Adhesives o Lubricants o Agrochemicals
