Overview

The Brewing & Utilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire brewing process and managing utilities to ensure efficient production of high-quality beverages. This role involves supervising brewing operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• At all times, make sure that the environmental, quality, and health and safety standards are followed, as well as the maintenance regulations. • Oversee the implementation of MMS Asset Care procedures in the support team and shift asset care teams. • Oversee the specialised support staff to guarantee the highest possible level of equipment availability. • Make that all planned specialist improvement activities are carried out by the asset care team. • Participate in asset care review meetings every day and take the necessary steps to support accurate nonconformance. • always strives for higher performance by reviewing focused improvement, asset care, and autonomous maintenance. • Make sure spare components are managed efficiently. • Assume responsibility for the asset care budget and make sure the best possible options are implemented. • Set an example and guide the team in using problem-solving techniques. • Utilise your specialised knowledge to guide improvement initiatives with the DMAIC methodology. • Participate in the Daily Operational Review meetings to bring up, talk about, and monitor ongoing performance concerns in order to identify the underlying causes and implement efficient control.

Requirements

• Five years of work experience in an FMCG company and a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university are required. • Ten years of FMCG industry job experience combined with a higher national diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering • At least five years of operations-related supervisory experience • General Certificate in Spirits/Beer Packaging, or the equivalent IBD certification, • Proficiency in overseeing employee performance, mentoring, and multidisciplinary team building • thorough comprehension and proven proficiency in every aspect of the local plant • Active, methodical problem-solving techniques acquired via exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or Manex • Proficiency in RCPS, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, and Set Up Time Reduction • Basic financial knowledge, comprehension of corporate motivations, and knowledge of budgeting procedures.
