Zonal Manager – Sales

Overview

At the zonal level, the selected applicant will lead the field sales staff and manage and develop important partnerships to fulfil or beyond the company's business performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales to reach or beyond zonal sales goals and assist in creating the sales budget. • Together with the regional marketing manager, create and oversee marketing initiatives to establish brands and promote products in the designated zone. • To reach or exceed sales goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, create sales action plans for the designated zone. • Motivate the field sales force to accomplish or surpass individual and team goals by monitoring, evaluating, and giving feedback in real time. • To increase sales and market share, cultivate and manage relationships with key opinion leaders and customers. • Keep tabs on pricing tactics, rival activity, market trends, and reports to the central marketing and sales leadership. • Create a high-performing team by consistently engaging, coaching, and motivating the field sales force.

Requirements

• A master's degree in sales and marketing and a bachelor's degree with a pharmacy or life sciences concentration. • Experience (12–15 years) in a multi-country, matrix pharmaceutical firm in Africa (Ghana, ideally) in a regional or zonal sales capacity. • Self-starter who can maintain motivation on their own and fulfil their mandate. • Leadership abilities and a track record of creating and managing successful sales teams. • Experience collaborating with different coworkers in cross-cultural and cross-functional settings. • Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, and communication abilities.
