By efficiently providing, deploying, and managing the Foundation's applications and infrastructure, the Head of Infrastructure and Platforms will be in charge of generating value for the organization.
• Oversee and maintain software programs to guarantee their optimum functionality, dependability, security, and conformity to the Foundation's goals. • Oversee the setup and implementation of storage, networking, virtualised computer resources, and other IT elements in both traditional system infrastructures and cloud settings. • Ensure dependable, secure, and scalable connectivity for corporate activities by supervising the deployment and optimisation of IT infrastructure, such as servers, storage, and network solutions. • Provide resources, services, or data to other devices via a network and maintain a strong and secure network infrastructure to facilitate smooth communication between employees and stakeholders. • In order to promote efficient communication and resource sharing within the Foundation, supervise the administration and enhancement of desktop environments and collaborative tools. • Improve user experiences by working together with important stakeholders from the Foundation and DDIT Function to promote the uptake and integration of digital tools and procedures. • To maximise the end-to-end solution lifecycle and user experience for Foundation stakeholders, collaborate closely with the teams responsible for Digital Enablement and User Technology Solutions. • Oversee the performance and capabilities of direct reports while offering direction, coaching, and mentoring in accordance with the organization's management policies and procedures.
• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline. A master's degree is preferred. • A minimum of eight years' experience managing platforms and infrastructure in a big commercial or nonprofit setting. • Profound knowledge of infrastructure platforms and technologies, such as servers, storage, networking, cloud computing, and security, along with demonstrated practical experience in system design, implementation, and management. • Proven ability to oversee intricate IT and digital infrastructure projects and activities from start to finish while adhering to schedule, money, and scope restrictions. • Excellent management and leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate groups, encourage cooperation, and produce outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. • Strong communication abilities both in writing and speaking, with the capacity to explain intricate digital ideas to stakeholders who are not technical.
