Snr. Group Principal Solutions Architect

Overview

This is a Senior Manager position, though it will be an individual contributor role. Strong soft skills are required, as well as the ability to effectively present and sell new digital modernization strategies to upper management. Experience with application modernization in the cloud environment is a plus. A background in DevOps, containerization, and early career experience in Java, Python, or similar programming languages is required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Business Architects, Chief Product Owner, Product Owner, and Project Managers to ensure the creation of Solution and Technical Architecture for specific requirements, features, or initiatives. • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Risk & Security teams to ensure alignment of new and existing solutions with enterprise standards. • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to drive product research, RFP/vendor interviews, and POC activities for COTS solutions in a "buy" scenario. • Collaborate with development leads on design brainstorming and design reviews to ensure adherence to architecture, patterns, and standards. • Work with the Support team to resolve issues related to implementation, from business or technical requirements, design, and coding to testing and technology/platform challenges.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred. • 7+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture and Business Application development. • Extensive experience with Solution Architecture patterns such as micro-frontends, microservices, 12-factor applications, etc. • Technical and Architectural leadership experience, including expertise in AL/ML, BI, Big Data, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Governance. • Prior software development background. • 5+ years of relevant task management experience. • Hands-on and architectural experience with modern Cloud Native architectures, with a proven track record of guiding architectural teams through organizational transformations. • Collaborate with Business Architects, Chief Product Owner, Product Owner, and Agile Coach to ensure the creation of Solution and Technical Architecture. • Experience ensuring new and existing solutions are aligned with enterprise standards in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and Risk & Security teams. • Minimum 3-year commitment to the role. • Must be willing to undergo high-level security clearance. • Willingness to travel outside of Ghana for job assignments.
