IT Network Administrator

Overview

Accountable for overseeing the management of Ghana's data network infrastructure platform, which includes wide area network connectivity to all outlying offices and to the data centre and all outlying offices. Additionally, this function and the team will be responsible for the LANs at the remote sites.

Responsibilities

• In order to meet the daily business needs of the company's IT Data Networks team, provide technical experience and decision-making for the appropriate levels of the Data Network environments on issues connected to WAN, LAN, and MAN. Organise the work of other technical employees. • In order to guarantee that services meet project requirements, the IT Data Network delivery is responsible for providing consultation in requirements definition, specification, design, implementation, and integration of networks and systems on complex projects. • Create cost/benefit evaluations and business case justifications for IT activities and expenditures throughout the IT Data Networks Estate. • To satisfy the needs of end users and the business, communicate, uphold, and create standards, guidelines, and principles pertaining to data network environments. • In charge of making sure resources are available for testing and deploying new components • Supplying technical support resources at Levels 2 and 3 for the Data Networks Estate. • Responsible for minor project delivery and planning. • During instability, the best course of action for maintaining the stability of the data networks environment must be taken.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, or a similar discipline is preferred. • Three or more years of expertise with data networks, with two of those years ideally spent in a technical management role • Three or more years of expertise with techniques and solutions related to network security • Three to five years of VPN technology experience • Three to five years of expertise with bridging and routing switching • Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (SMART) experience of three to five years
