Area Sales Manager

Overview

You will create and manage a team that is focused on performance, as well as plan and lead the distribution and coverage goals established for the year. Along with making sure that any new product releases and sales distribution goals are fulfilled, the incumbent would also be expected to plan and carry out sales, promotional, and market development activities.

Responsibilities

• Excellent planning abilities, developing the regional sales strategy in accordance with the distribution segment strategy of the organization. • Establishing and advancing the quarterly income and sales goals while making sure regional sales targets are met. • Keeping a close check on performance, overseeing ground operations in accordance with plans and goals, and taking corrective action when necessary. • Take charge of, direct, and oversee sales and distribution operations in the area. • You would be able to recognize and report rival activity in the area and have solid market connections. Make the appropriate plans to combat them and safeguard your market share. • Develop a solid rapport with the distribution channel, assist distributors, and coordinate field requirements. • Be a people person who serves as the primary source of inspiration and direction for the varied and frequently sizable local teams around the nation or region. • Create a strong performance culture within the team by organizing and carrying out team-building exercises and product training.

Requirements

• Having a knack for sales should come naturally to you. • Strong familiarity with the topography and population of the area. • Three to five years of post-qualification industry experience combined with an MBA. • It is necessary to have prior sales and distribution expertise.
