The accounts officer will be in charge of overseeing financial transactions, creating financial reports, keeping track of financial documents, and making sure accounting rules are followed.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets, to ensure transparency and accountability. • Review and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and timely payment of outstanding accounts to vendors and suppliers. • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed. • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing insights to ensure financial goals are met. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and submitting accurate tax returns, while keeping up to date with local tax laws. • Prepare regular financial reports for management, providing insights into financial performance and offering recommendations for improvement.
