Overview

Compliance Officer ensures that an organization adheres to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• In charge of making sure that all rules, guidelines, instructions, circulars, and memoranda are followed • Establish the scope and evaluation of compliance and create an annual compliance strategy. • Verify compliance with the aforementioned papers on a regular basis. • Give staff members clarity and knowledge of rules, policies, procedures, circulars, and instructions. • Create and deliver reports to the line manager that include the findings of the compliance evaluation. • Find weaknesses and offer suggestions for risk management. • Perform follow-up audits to track management suggestions and initiatives. • Assistance in the compliance function's effective functioning

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, risk management, or a related discipline. • Two to three years of experience working as a supervisor at a financial institution in a comparable role, such as operations, internal audit, risk, or compliance. • Strong knowledge of internal control, risk management, and compliance • Capacity to exercise competent judgement on one's own • Strong writing, reporting, and communication abilities • Both analytical and detail-oriented
