Overview

To take the lead in the category management team's development and implementation of trade strategies and establish programs within the portfolio of brands and categories they oversee in order to boost business sales and optimize profitability through effective expenditure in these brands and categories.

Responsibilities

• Maintains company as the best business partner by building and sustaining good relationships with all suppliers through calls, evaluations, and other interactions. • Uses a collaborative business strategy to negotiate prices, activities, payment terms, and other trade terms with suppliers in order to manage the advertising and promotions budgets and optimize the company's sales and profitability. • Oversees the creation and implementation of the team's brands' unified business strategy in order to concentrate efforts and promote efficiency. • Oversees the use of the A&P money allotted to each brand in order to prevent financial abuse and reach the desired level of profitability. • Oversees each allocated brand's forecasting procedure to guarantee ideal supply levels. • Conducts field trips and gathers information from the field to track the brand's category dynamics and create the required actions. (Competitors, costs, selection, events, etc.) • Keeps an eye on consumer demands, preferences, and patterns related to the designated brand in order to create the required marketing campaigns. • Oversees the monthly, quarterly, and yearly business review process in collaboration with sales executives across all channels to share updates and gather trade data. • Carries out regular field visits and reports findings to the sales manager to guarantee that actions carried out in-store adhere to plans and brand strategy.

Requirements

• A business administration/marketing bachelor's degree from a recognized university • An MBA is advantageous. • Three to four years of experience in a sales or brand management position • Sales experience of two to three years is required. • Experience in FMCG is essential.
