The head of learning and development will be in charge of overseeing a unified learning strategy that is in line with a global perspective across all of Africa's companies.
• To guarantee that learning solutions are tailored for local implementation even when they are internationally built, work closely with the company to get insights and comprehend learning demands. • Work together with the company to develop a learning strategy that is in line with business strategy and necessary to develop important competencies. • Ensures adherence to talent practices while converting the learning strategic plan into realistic, multi-year learning journeys that can be implemented across corporate and regional boundaries. • Develop scalable and adaptable learning interventions to satisfy the various demands of various workforce environments. • Work together with internal stakeholders, external partners, the global L&D team, and the larger Talent CoE to plan, implement, and maintain learning and development initiatives. • Take charge of the whole employee learning and development process, from analyzing learning requirements to designing solutions, implementing them, and measuring return on development (ROD). • Create partnerships both inside and outside to promote the professional development and performance of individuals and teams.
• Ten years or more of expertise in leadership development or learning & development. Designing and implementing development efforts in a commercial setting using a range of platforms and delivery methods should be part of experience. • Preferably with two or more years of experience leading and managing a team. • Preferred is a combination of consultation and in-house experience. • Proven ability to interact and establish rapport with both frontline employees and management at all levels. • Shown ability to negotiate advantageous contracts and a history of maintaining long-term supplier relationships. • Capable of developing or co-developing educational solutions with external development partners and internal subject-matter specialists. • Capable of leading both in-person and online training sessions. • Adept at using an LMS or LXP and utilizing its features to accomplish their goals, such as monitoring learner engagement.
