Medical Officers

Overview

The position of Medical Officer is available full-time on-site at West-Adenta, Accra. Working together with the Medical Director, doctors, and other healthcare professionals, the Medical Officer will be in charge of providing patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care as well as appropriately send patients outside of your area of expertise.

Preserving patient data security and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Bringing clinical knowledge to patient care and mentoring and leading the other members of the medical staff.

Lead or take part in various staff meetings and activities such as ward rounds, clinical meetings, morbidity/mortality meetings, clinico-pathological conferences, etc.

Evaluate and carry out the patient management plan.

Maintaining the highest levels of patient care in compliance with globally recognized guidelines.

Conduct ongoing clinical audits to ensure quality improvements

Assist with the hiring process, supervising, and mentoring of healthcare professionals and collaborating with specialist.

Keeping informed on advancements in the field and contributing to medical research programs.

Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

MB. Ch.B. BDS/MB BS or its equivalent from a recognized Institution

Permanent Registration with the Medical and Dental Council

A minimum of one year work experience, post-housemanship

Expertise in Medicine and Patient Care

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Experience in a similar role is preferred
