Service Engineer

Overview

Local engineers receive practical instruction and technical assistance from the service engineer. This position include executing repairs, troubleshooting, managing teams in significant reworks, and making sure all work complies with standards. The expatriate engineer also contributes significantly to customer service, warranty evaluations, and new machine assembly projects.

Responsibilities

• Give local engineers practical technical assistance and training. • Diagnose and fix Caterpillar machinery at workshops and on client sites. • Provide thorough technical reports and assessments of failures. • Make ensuring that all repairs adhere to Caterpillar policies and guidelines. • Oversee and manage groups working on large-scale machine assembly, rebuilding, and repair projects. • Assure adherence to safety regulations, which include using LOTO equipment. • After the project is finished, use Cat Inspect to do inspections. • Manage warranty claims, identify the underlying reasons for malfunctions, and guarantee that repairs are done appropriately. • Organize and oversee new machine assembly, including non-Cat products and logistics. • To guarantee service quality, collaborate closely with customers, product support teams, and service management. • Highlight all of the dealership's offerings, such as parts, service, equipment sales, and multiband.

Requirements

• Four or more years of experience operating large machinery and plants. • Solid familiarity with Caterpillar earthmoving machinery and systems. • A level 3 or higher NVQ certificate is necessary. • Relevant trade qualification (such as a City & Guilds certification or something similar). • Outstanding ability to diagnose engine and machine systems. • The capacity to manage and instruct small engineering teams. • Strong reporting and communication abilities.
