Through the identification and acquisition of new business possibilities in the livestock farming industry throughout Africa, the Business Development Officer (BDO) plays a crucial role in the expansion of the organization.
• Find and cultivate fresh business prospects in the animal farming industry. • Create and preserve a solid rapport with potential customers, such as farmers, investors, and agricultural enterprises. • To determine target markets and comprehend industry trends, do market research. • Create and present persuasive pitch decks and proposals that highlight the advantages of the company's offerings. • Close and negotiate commercial agreements to create relationships that benefit both parties. • Oversee and cultivate current client connections to promote enduring partnerships. • Create and execute successful sales strategy to meet financial goals. • Create and submit reports on sales activity and performance indicators on a regular basis. • Keep up on the latest developments in livestock farming technology, trends, and best practices.
• A bachelor's degree in agriculture, business administration, or a similar discipline is desirable. • Two to three years' minimum experience in business development or a similar sales position. • Shown ability to surpass sales goals and accomplish corporate objectives. • Outstanding interpersonal, presenting, and communication abilities. • Strong ability to develop relationships and negotiate. • The capacity to function both alone and together. • Competent with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in the Microsoft Office Suite.
