Overview

The ideal applicant will be well-versed in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain management. The timely acquisition of products and services while upholding cost effectiveness, quality standards, and adherence to company rules and procedures will be your responsibility as the procurement manager.

Responsibilities

• Create and put into action procurement strategies that meet organisational objectives while guaranteeing supply chain efficiency, quality, and cost savings. • Determine, assess, and build connections with vendors, contractors, and suppliers. In order to obtain advantageous agreements for the business, negotiate contracts, conditions, and prices. • Oversee daily procurement tasks, such as processing requisitions, finding suppliers, acquiring bids, and issuing purchase orders. • Keep an eye on expenditures and make sure the purchase budget is followed. Examine expense patterns and put cost-cutting strategies into action without sacrificing product or service quality. • Evaluate supplier performance on a regular basis and address problems with customer service, delivery, and product quality. Encourage enduring alliances with important suppliers. • In order to guarantee advantageous terms and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, supervise the draughting, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts and agreements. • Determine the risks associated with procurement and put mitigation plans in place, such as supplier diversity and supply chain resilience. • Work together with internal departments to predict demand, optimise stock levels, and cut down on shortages or surplus inventory. • Make that procurement practices adhere to legal standards as well as internal rules and procedures. Report to top management on procurement performance and savings on a regular basis.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar discipline is required; a master's degree or procurement certification is preferred. • Shown expertise in supply chain management or procurement (5+ years), ideally in a managerial or supervisory capacity. • Strong familiarity with supply chain best practices, vendor negotiations, contract management, and procurement tactics. • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiating, and communication abilities. • The capacity to evaluate information, spot patterns, and create cost-cutting plans. • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and procurement applications. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulousness. • The capacity to fulfil deadlines and work under duress.
