Overview

An Area Sales Manager oversees sales operations within a specific geographic region, aiming to achieve and surpass sales targets. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of sales representatives, analyzing market trends, and developing strategies to expand the customer base.

Responsibilities

• Help create but mostly carry out strategic sales plans to meet corporate goals and revenue targets in the designated region. To increase sales, identify key accounts, prospective clients, and market prospects. • Create and preserve a solid rapport with partners, distributors, retailers, and other current and potential clients. • To increase sales teams' output and performance, lead, coach, and mentor them. • Establish objectives, quotas, and sales targets for each team member and track their success. • Examine market trends, competition activity, and sales data to find areas that might use improvement and expansion. • Develop campaigns, sales materials, and promotional plans in conjunction with marketing teams. • Verify adherence to rules, guidelines, and policies regarding sales. • Give top management input on consumer demands, market dynamics, and rivalry positioning. • To maximize inventory management, keep an eye on product demand, sales projections, and inventory levels. • Respond quickly and satisfactorily to consumer concerns and grievances.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a similar discipline is required; an MBA is preferred. • Shown expertise in sales management, ideally in a related field or market niche. • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities. • Shown aptitude for creating and managing successful sales teams. • Intellectual abilities and strategic thinking. · Results-oriented with a history of hitting sales objectives and targets. • Understanding of client relationship management, negotiating tactics, and sales skills. • Knowledge of sales automation and CRM applications. • The capacity to move both inside the designated area and, on occasion, across national or international borders. • Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
