Overview

Using market information, economies of scale, cost competitiveness, efficiency efforts, risk management, strategic alliances, and innovation, this position focusses on strategic and sustainable procurement to deliver business advantages.

Responsibilities

• Establishing a short-, medium-, and long-term sourcing strategy based on category management and business requirements. • Keep an eye on global commodities movements to get market intelligence. • Provide superior intelligence for Maps. • Describe your market strategy and sourcing map (local, imports, mix). • In order to ensure a sustainable and competitive business, propose and align procurement coverage with business. Be resilient enough to adjust the business plan to any potential changes (regulatory, import bans, duties, market dynamics, force majeure, etc.). • Depending on whether you want to take a more tactical or strategic approach, define supplier relationship management. • Create governance and control to ensure procurement execution and transparency. • Bidirectional business intimacy is necessary for the synchronization of our business strategy (VCP) and procurement strategy in order to optimize our competitiveness. • Hunt for innovations in the supply market. • Oversee internal strategy communications with various stakeholders. • In charge of budgeting for categories and variances.

Requirements

• A minimum of a degree in economics, engineering, agronomy, or a similar discipline with a strong understanding of commodities is required. • At least seven years of experience, ideally in the FMGC sector, in a comparable role. • Have at least five years of expertise handling imports and negotiating procurement in Asia. • Strong negotiation skills in procurement with experience in procurement category management. • English proficiency. • Knowledge with SAP is preferred. • Excellent verbal and writing communication abilities. • Strategic and business thinking. • Excellent negotiating abilities • Fact-based, transformational approach with a wealth of analytical abilities. • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
