Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in a dynamic industrial/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, a solid understanding of cost accounting, and experience in managing financial reporting and compliance in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Monitors and reconciles general ledger accounts, including inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), fixed assets, and accruals.
- Oversees the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Manages and improves cost accounting processes, including product costing, variance analysis, and overhead allocation.
- Works closely with production and operations teams to track and control manufacturing costs.
- Ensures compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and local tax regulations.
- Supports budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Coordinates with external auditors during annual audits and ensures all audit requirements are met.
- Implements process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and financial transparency.
- Supervises and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field plus professional qualification (ICAG, ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with local tax laws, regulatory reporting, and audit requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
