Overview

To provide accounting support to the Association’s programmes.

Responsibilities

Compile the monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual, and any other reports that might be assigned for the projects.

 Make certain that the returns from the project sites are received, coded appropriately, and added to the system.

 Assemble the final project accounting and related schedules in preparation for the year-end audits.

 

Examine each and every project return, make sure the internal control system is consistent, and report any inconsistencies discovered.

 Create monthly project expense reports with the relevant account codes.

Project employees should receive financial support.

 Make sure there are enough resources available to carry out the job.

 Help with the PPAG final accounts preparation.

 Oversee the monthly updating of the project's fixed asset register.

 Create bank reconciliation statements on a monthly basis.

 Enter backups and accounting entries into the program.

 Help the finance manager make decisions by contributing to the creation of the project budget, the annual program budget (APB), and any other financial information.

 Carry out any additional tasks that your direct supervisor may assign you.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in business administration (with an accounting option), a business-related subject such as business or commerce, or its equivalent in professional accounting, along with three years or more of relevant job experience.

 Having an ACCA/ICA certificate will be beneficial.

Have good knowledge of accounting systems and procedures

 Have good working knowledge in the use of accounting soft wares, especially, ACCPAC

 Have good working knowledge in the use of the computer (Excel, PowerPoint)

 Have very good presentation, communication, and report writing skills

 Have high sense of responsibility, accuracy and judgmental skills

 Be honest, transparent and reliable

 Have excellent human relations skills, youth friendly and a team player

 Be a multi-tasker

 Be able to work with little or no supervision and have an eye for details

 Be able to work for long hours and under pressure

 Be able to travel at short notice
