Senior Software Developer

Overview

Responsibilities

Expertly add features and enhancements to items being created with little to no supervision.

Work together with developers to build unified, functional APIs that improve user experience.

Lead a team to fulfill requirements by converting customer requirements into conceptual and technical designs.

Provide new features and enhancements to clients' products in a way that is safe, reliable, and efficient.

Work together in an iterative, fast-paced setting with developers, engineers, the DevOps team, product owners, and/or management to fulfill objectives and uphold a high standard of quality. Perform code reviews in accordance with best practices for code reviews and make sure team contributions are promptly acknowledged.

Address technical issues with a moderate level of complexity and scope. Identify "technical debt" as a team obstacle and provide and execute solutions

Requirements

A minimum of five years of experience working professionally as a developer Full stack, Back-end, or Front-end

Thorough familiarity with any of the following technologies: PHP, Python, and Java

Extensive familiarity with JavaScript libraries or frameworks in any of the following areas: React, Angular, and Vue.js

Extensive familiarity with databases in any of the following fields: PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB, MongoDB, and MySQL

Thorough understanding of the design and concepts of object-oriented programming

Comprehensive knowledge of application scalability for heavy data traffic

Proficiency with Agile work methods and DevOps knowledge; familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs

Preferred: 

Passion for cross-functional collaboration 

 Experience in mentoring other developers and helping team members to grow 

Experience with large-scale distributed database systems, storage farms, and/or horizontally scaled request processing fleets 

Experience in identifying, analyzing, and pitching business and technical vision for a complicated area within a highly technical domain

 Exceptional customer focus, including the ability to identify underlying features and requirements, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and with efficient solutions lead engineering efforts to meet tight timelines
