Overview

As a marine supervisor, you'd oversee the operations of a marine vessel, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. You'd manage the crew, handle logistics, and coordinate with port authorities. It's a role that requires strong leadership and maritime knowledge.

Responsibilities

While optimizing the vessel loading condition in accordance with environmental conditions and vessel operations, hull stresses, vessel stability, and control over cargo/ballast distribution are monitored and kept within pre-established limitations and legal requirements. 

 Overseeing the operation of the ballast and cargo control systems as well as the receiving, storing, and discharging of goods. 

 Tank sampling, clearing off extra free water, and other quality control measures are used for export cargo. 

 Operations involving the disposal of produced water conform to company and legal environmental standards. 

 Procedures for gas release and tank cleaning. 

 Following the Marine Superintendent's instructions and leading the General Purpose crew during his shift.

Entry into tanks and internal tank maintenance procedures. 

 Serving as the area authority for the purpose of supervising vessels working in the 500-meter zones surrounding producing wells and FPSOs, including diving activities. 

 Organizing the maintenance schedule and managing the general purpose crew in the areas under his control. 

 Familiarity with the Maximo system and the capacity to enter and retrieve data as needed. 

 Maintaining and routinely managing the Marine Department's Maximo inputs. 

 Respect for and adherence to the corporate management system. 

 The case of operational safety. 

 The creation and evaluation of operating guidelines and manuals. 

 Corporate Guidelines and Practices.

Environmental Management System 

 Acting as back-up FRC coxswain. 

 Performing tasks in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring all personnel under his jurisdiction do the same. 

 PTW system Area Authority for Marine designated areas 

 Internal cargo/ballast transfers to control hull stresses and stability 

 Offloading supervision 

 Tank cleaning and gas freeing operations 

 Monitoring of vessels within 500 m safety zone

Requirements

Combined Offshore Survival, Fire Fighting, and HUET Certificate or equivalent 

 UKOOA Medical or equivalent 

 Class 2 Marine Certificate desirable 

 Dangerous Cargo Endorsement
