Overview
In search of a Marketing and Tourism Officer to oversee and cultivate connections with pertinent parties in the travel and tour industry, as well as to market and sell a variety of tours and travel products.
Responsibilities
- Investigate business prospects in the domestic and international travel industry.
- Through advertising campaigns and promotional materials like artwork, press releases, and writing for travel guides and newsletters, existing tourist sites can be made more widely known.
- Create new business to boost revenue and profitability and reach financial goals.
- Establish and preserve connections with important target audiences and networks.
- Collaborate with the media and other neighborhood partner organizations to develop a brand identity for the designated neighborhoods, increase awareness of nearby attractions, and produce good press.
- Create strategies to enhance the consumer experience and foster brand fidelity.
- Keep abreast of the most recent advancements in the market and suggest ways to adapt.
- Carry out any additional responsibilities that may be necessary.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of an HND in a discipline relating to marketing, travel and tours, or tourism.
- Possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience in business development, marketing, or sales related to domestic and international travel and tourism.
- Possess a track record of building and maintaining connections with important decision-makers, agencies, and trading partners.
- Proficiency in communication, public speaking, and presentation development for both agency and end-user audiences are essential.
- Be a strong initiate and self-starter who is self-motivated and self-directed.
- Possess excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Adept at using the Microsoft Office Suite and proficient with computers (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
