Organization's communication, marketing, and strategy are supported by an engaging web and mobile presence, which is created and maintained by the Web Developer and UX Strategist. This role is in charge of managing client-hosted websites that cater to certain audiences in addition to the organization's website.
• As a proactive member of the creative team, works to ascertain user needs and propose creative solutions. • Suggests and puts into practice fresh strategies that improve the user experience while emphasizing the goal of BRICS Africa Consulting and fostering participation in its initiatives. • Enhances the user experience and website content—including HTML, site structure, page layout, and navigation—for search engine ranking. • Creates email marketing campaigns in association with marketing data analysts and authors. • Carries out regular WordPress website maintenance. • Communicates with vendors and outside clients about website requirements. • Strives to create new features in response to customer requests. • Carries out additional relevant tasks as given.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, information systems, computer science, or the equivalent experience. • A minimum of three years' experience developing web-based products is required. • WordPress experience a plus. • Shown professional abilities and/or life experience working in a diverse workplace. • Proven intermediate level of expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Click Dimensions, WordPress/PHP, and CRM Dynamics. • Demonstrated expertise in email marketing and email template best practices. • Demonstrated expertise in responsive design and SEO best practices. • Shown understanding of user experience, web accessibility best practices, and digital marketing and design. • Demonstrated foundational expertise with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. • Demonstrated intermediate to expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. • Demonstrated proficiency in brand management. • Outstanding communication and writing abilities. • Demonstrated capacity for multitasking and thriving in a hectic team setting. • Strong attention to detail and organizing abilities. • Dependable collaborator and team player. • Shown originality, inventiveness, and sound judgment.
