Overview

The project officer is in charge of overseeing the project's effective administration, which includes handling administrative duties and delivering required reports to internal and external stakeholders. To support the management team and partners in the planning, implementation, assessment, and documentation of the Nurturing Women and Children's Nutrition at Sustainable Scales Project, the Project Officer will work closely with the Project Coordinator and Nutrition Specialist. Helping to create successful programmatic interventions, monitoring programs, producing reports, and offering advice to partner organizations and local people in the Nadowli-Kaleo district are all part of the job description.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow technical team members to pinpoint prospects for enhancing the support system of community services and stakeholders to facilitate the adoption of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive services. • In accordance with donor standards and policies, manage modifications to the project scope, schedule, and budget. • Keep up with the necessary project records that document the project's progress, making sure that all project activity reports are stored in the relevant database. • Planning, carrying out, and overseeing nutrition-related activities and interventions will require close coordination with the project coordinator, nutrition specialist, and social and behavior change communication (SBCC) team. • Collaborate closely with the M&E team to record best practices and track performance against predetermined metrics. • In order to ensure the sustainability of services, support technical ways for scaling up nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programs that strengthen community or in-district capacity. • Encourage the creation of training initiatives within project communities. • As asked, deliver reports, documentation, and proposals on schedule. • As needed, assist in the creation of technical resource documents such as curriculum, training manuals, and guidelines. • Offer assistance with monthly, quarterly, and annual donor reporting. • Carry out any additional duties that the Project Coordinator or the Executive Director may assign you.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in a comparable role and a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in development studies, social policy, public health, economics, or another pertinent field • Knowledge of project cycle management techniques and resources, such as collaborative project planning, monitoring, and assessment • Notable encounters with instructional techniques • Proven abilities in managing and forming partnerships • The capacity to create reports and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to report to a variety of project stakeholders • Ability to translate technical information into practical guidance and tools and effectively communicate these using print, electronic, and presentation media. Mandatory: • It is quite desirable to be familiar with the local context, particularly the Nadowli-Kaleo district and its communities. • It is imperative that one speak the Nadowli-Kaleo District's native tongue. • To be eligible for this role, one must be a district resident. • Place: District of Nadowli-Kaleo
