Public Relations Specialist

Overview

As a Public Relations Specialist, you'll be the master of communication and reputation management! Your main role will be to create and maintain a positive image for individuals, organizations, or brands.

Responsibilities

• Create and carry out PR campaigns to highlight the services offered by the brand. • Serve as the brand's representative in interviews, speaking Twi and English with ease. • Establish and preserve connections with journalists and other influential members of the media. • To get media attention, write articles, news releases, and other promotional materials. • Make story pitch proposals and set up interviews with appropriate media channels. • Prepare reports on PR initiatives and keep an eye on media attention. • Organize press conferences and product launches, among other PR events. • Assist the marketing and advertising departments in coordinating PR initiatives with the overarching brand strategy. • Respond promptly and expertly to questions and requests from the media.

Requirements

• Proven track record in communications or public relations jobs. • Proficiency in Twi as well as English. • Strong Twi and English public speaking abilities, with the capacity to represent the brand well in media appearances. • Strong storytelling and writing abilities in Twi and English. • Outstanding networking and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of press release distribution and media relations. • The capacity to fulfill deadlines and perform successfully under duress. • PR campaigns that are innovative and creative. • A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or a similar discipline.
