IT Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

To join our team, we are looking for a talented engineer that is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about hardware and technology, and has experience with AWS cloud technologies. You will be essential to the development, deployment, and upkeep of our cloud-based infrastructure and systems, which underpin our client services and business operations.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: • Create, implement, and manage highly accessible, secure, and scalable cloud solutions (AWS). • Apply recommended practices for AWS architecture, such as performance tuning, security, and cost reduction. • Oversee AWS services as required, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and others. • Track the dependability and performance of the system, proactively recognizing and resolving problems. System Design and Implementation: • Having a working knowledge of network hardware and technology as well as system management. • Technological Support: diagnose and fix technological issues while offering end users, partners, and coworker’s technical support. • Work together with cross-functional groups to comprehend business needs and convert them into technical specifications. • Streamline operations and increase productivity by automating deployment, configuration, and administration procedures. Security and Compliance: • Overseeing the protection of computer networks and data exchanges between apps. • Adopt and enforce compliance standards and best practices for security, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, etc. • Perform routine security audits and assessments, quickly correcting any risks or vulnerabilities found. • Ensuring data integrity and confidentiality, keep an eye on security issues and take appropriate action. • Assist in creating plans for business continuity and disaster recovery Team Collaboration and Support: • To support project initiatives and overcome technological obstacles, collaborate closely with DevOps, development, and other teams. • Team members should receive direction and assistance on AWS cloud technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar discipline (or comparable job experience). • A track record of success in a related position as an applications, systems, or networks engineer, with an emphasis on AWS cloud technologies • Solid familiarity with AWS architecture and services, including practical knowledge with the AWS CLI and SDKs. • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python • Familiarity with web platform deployment, enterprise resource planning, and database systems management. • Strong grasp of security concepts, best practices in cloud environments, and networking concepts (DHCP, DNS, VLAN, Load Balancing, VPN, Routes, etc.). • AWS qualifications, or their equivalents, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. • Shown expertise in network and system (Linux) support and troubleshooting. • Strong familiarity with hardware, security best practices, and network protocols. • Exceptional ability to solve problems and communicate. • The capacity to function both alone and together.
