Overview

Someone with the proper combination of leadership, enthusiasm, drive, and expertise to launch a new digital company in the financial services industry will excel in this position. For our IT team, the ideal applicant will offer technical leadership and management. In a technology-driven company where security and dependability are critical, the CTO is in charge of developing and overseeing the technology team as well as spearheading the strategy for application delivery, technological platforms, partnerships, and external interactions.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership • Determine the risks and opportunities associated with providing the company's technology services as a business. This includes determining whether services are competitive, identifying areas for innovation, and evaluating market trends in order to ensure the success of the enterprise. • Create and inspire a top-tier, highly productive technical and customer support team. • Assess and determine which technological platforms—such as web application frameworks and the deployment stack—are most suited to carrying out the company's services. • Create a budget or financial strategy for the organization's use of technology. Others • Take ownership of the design and development process for complicated system and configuration delivery in a multi-site setting, as well as all upcoming revisions and iterations. • Oversee the testing of software and the upkeep and operations of information systems. • Take the lead in preparing for and responding to significant changes in technology. • Set deadlines for the assessment, creation, and implementation of all IT services and take the lead in strategic planning to accomplish corporate objectives. • Use DevOps to oversee software development quality assurance, native mobile applications, and web applications. • Oversee the Orange Tech Digital platforms' partner and client integration initiatives. • Attend relevant conferences and read widely (including the blogs of your peers!) to stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, software development best practices, and technical standards. • Provide information, guidance, and education on the company's technical vision, potential, and problems to investors, management, employees, partners, customers, and stakeholders. • Produce and keep up-to-date comprehensive documentation of all pertinent systems, methods, and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering/STEM combined with an MBA in technology or business • 5–10 years of previous expertise in UI/UX-focused product design and engineering with a client facing focus is required. • Outstanding interpersonal, managerial, negotiating, leadership, and problem-solving abilities • strong background in automating all facets of operational delivery and management processes, including build, test, and deploy, monitoring, alerting, automatic failover, and capacity management • Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking • A well-known thought leader with a solid track record in the industry spearheading internal and external initiatives to advance the use of digital technology • A history of utilizing agile scrum and DevOps to create inventive, imaginative, and cooperative teams • Strong background in payments, remittance, mobile money, and point of sale systems • Strong background in cutting-edge digital technologies, such as cloud, blockchain, IoT, robotic process automation, business process automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
