Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Account Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of financial records, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and ad-hoc audits of financial statements, ledgers, and accounts to identify discrepancies, errors, or irregularities. • Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. • Conduct internal audits of company procedures, controls, and processes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to be taken by management. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, standards, and industry best practices to ensure audit processes remain current and effective. • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on financial compliance matters, including training and education as needed. • Assist with external audits by providing requested documentation, conducting preliminary reviews, and coordinating audit activities with external auditors.

Requirements

• HND in Accounting • Proven experience in auditing, accounting, or finance role, preferably in a similar industry or sector. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify areas of concern. • Proficiency in audit techniques, procedures, and tools. • Advanced computer skills, including experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
