Overview

The position holder must reach 100% correct revenue and provide patients with timely and effective billing services.

Responsibilities

• Charge sheet collection from all departments completed on time in order to enter data into the hospital management system. • Communicate with nursing unit managers and teams to guarantee that charge sheets for patients under IPD (Inpatient Department) are 100% complete in order to ensure prompt invoicing. • Communicate with the pharmacy department, nursing unit managers, and team to make sure that take-home prescriptions are correctly adjusted on final billing and that pharmacy bills and drug returns are completed in a timely manner before patients are released from the hospital. • In order to guarantee that unspecified services, such as the use of equipment during surgery (theater), IPD and OPD consultations, radiology services, etc., are appropriately invoiced, coordinate with all departments. • Make sure to self-audit invoices prior to sending them, depending on the time of day, to the billing supervisor or the patients. • When necessary, communicate with the claims unit to process insurance clients' bills. • Make certain that patients always receive 100% correct bills. • Make that billing rates are sent to cash patients in a timely manner so they may pay for services before they are rendered. • Timely updates to the billing supervisor on any issue that can have an impact on patient payment collection, especially when it comes to private patients. • Make certain that patients have access to all pertinent billing documentation (final bill, interim invoices) as needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business or social sciences from any accredited university. • Two to three years of relevant work experience. • It will be advantageous if you have prior hospital billing officer expertise. • Knowledgeable in computers. • Outstanding interpersonal skills and fluency in written and spoken English communication. • The capacity to adjust shifts as needed to meet hospital requirements.
