Quality Assurance Tester

Overview

You test mobile applications on the Android and iOS platforms to make sure they fulfill the requirements and work as intended as a Quality Assurance Tester for Android and iOS. He or she bears the responsibility of guaranteeing the general caliber and operation of the application across the two platforms.

Responsibilities

• To make sure the app is functional and compatible, test it on a range of iOS and Android smartphones and operating systems. • Locating, notifying, and collaborating with the development team to fix any bugs or other problems that are discovered during testing. • To make sure that all functional and non-functional criteria are addressed during testing, test cases and plans must be created. • Taking part in user acceptability testing and regression testing as part of the mobile application's overall quality assurance process.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline. • Three to six years of expertise • Knowledge of testing mobile apps, especially for iOS and Android systems. • Solid knowledge of software testing procedures and methods. • It would be advantageous to have experience with mobile testing technologies like Appium, Chef, Puppet, OpenStack, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence), and Selenium. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity to recognize and report errors and problems. • Strong communication abilities both in writing and verbally, with the capacity to work well with the development team. • Agile development methodology experience is advantageous. • It is beneficial to have prior experience with security and performance testing mobile apps. • Strong knowledge of the ecosystem and creation of mobile apps. • It's advantageous to know about compliance requirements and mobile security. • Proficiency in both manual and automated testing of mobile applications is advantageous. • Collaborating with the development team to comprehend the functionalities and features of the app and offering input on user experience and usability. • Suggesting changes to the testing procedure and staying current with the newest methods and tools for mobile testing. • Keeping track of progress and pinpointing areas that require improvement by recording and managing metrics and test results.
