Senior Project Manager

Overview

To oversee all project phases, including the six stages of the project rollout process, on behalf of the client or clients. A senior project manager will oversee projects that span national boundaries and several sectors. To oversee and manage the project manager and assistant project manager from start to finish, including handling associated professional service management.

Responsibilities

Project Management • Management of project deliverables to achieve within cost, quality and time constraints • Management of projects to ensure user acceptance • Achievement of marketing and business development activities Manages client relationships • Regular contact with the clients, callers, visitors and external service providers to ensure high levels of service and efficiency with all stakeholders • Needs to exercise judgement and diplomacy when dealing with people • Feedback from clients, visitors and staff on service provided Coordination of sub-contractors and supervision of project staff • Constant interaction and team relationship with the entire project team • Continuous upskilling and coaching of project team members • Bi-annual performance review discussions with all staff completed Administration • All documentation to be completed as per project plan • Accuracy of processing information • Daily processing occurs within set procedures Management of Staff • Regular interaction and meetings with subordinates and provides feedback on performance, development and progress • Delegates task appropriately and subordinates are satisfied with level of interaction. • Records of Quarterly performance reviews • Capable of managing different personalities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Technology degree in the Built Environment • Professional membership with an accredited body • Familiarity with and comprehension of the fundamentals of contract law • Strong comprehension and knowledge of construction contracts. • Strong Understanding of Construction Procedures • At least ten to twelve years in the built environment.
