Overview

The General Manager will be in charge of planning and creating performance reports in addition to handling complaints. He or she will serve as a resource for both clients and staff as well as outside vendors. The general manager needs to be able to lead staff members in becoming an efficient team. This involves having the capacity to hire, develop, and evaluate staff members. Thus, the ideal applicant will be a capable leader who can set an example and promote a cooperative environment in addition to being a team player.

Responsibilities

• Preserving operations by the use of guidelines and SOPs. • Drawing in clients through the creation and execution of marketing, PR, and advertising campaigns. • Preserving client happiness through the observation, assessment, and auditing of food, drink, and service offerings; launching enhancements and cultivating connections with loyal customers. • Outlining expectations for the job; organizing, observing, evaluating, and reviewing contributions made on the job; organizing and assessing activities related to remuneration; and implementing rules and regulations. • Upholding hygienic standards and practices via establishment, observance, and enforcement of a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment. • Keeping up security systems and adhering to legal and health requirements. • Staying up to date with developing trends in the lounge/restaurant sector and comparing cutting-edge procedures to maintain professional and technical expertise. • Establishing clear goals and overseeing employees at all levels of the company, including receptionists, cooks, bartenders, waiters, and office workers. • Assign tasks and organize operations to create the most effective operating model possible. • Keep an eye on sales and earnings, manage spending and budgets, and evaluate and comprehend financial data. •Create and put into action a clear and effective marketing plan to advertise the lounge/restaurant's offerings. • Interact with patrons as needed (e.g., provide a warm greeting, handle grievances, resolve issues, provide information, etc.). • Handle repairs, staff or equipment shortages, maintenance difficulties, etc. • Work together with outside partners including vendors, tour operators, conference and event organizers, etc.

Requirements

• A track record of success in a managerial or general manager position at a restaurant. • Verified managerial experience providing customer service. • A bachelor's degree in business administration; training in hospitality management or cooking is advantageous. • Strong financial management abilities; exceptional customer service abilities with a business mentality; noticeable talent for making decisions and solving problems; outstanding leadership abilities and close attention to detail • Knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, as well as best practices in hotel management • Strong oral and verbal communication skills are required. Self-discipline and high integrity are prerequisites. Working familiarity with Microsoft Office; familiarity with software for hotel administration is advantageous.
