Overview

You will manage innovative projects as our Head of Projects Engineer, including aquaculture and fish processing facilities. Your everyday tasks will include risk assessments, feasibility studies, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• For new projects like the building of depots, aquaculture projects, fish processing plant projects, harvesting projects, etc., do risk assessments, cost estimates, and feasibility studies. Analyzing the project's operating expenses, manufacturing capacity, market demand, site characteristics, and environmental effects is part of this process. • Oversee the creation of the project's equipment, pipeline, electrical, control, and plant layout comprehensive engineering drawings, requirements, and documentation. This involves planning the process flow, determining the energy and mass balances, choosing the proper tools and materials, and making sure that engineering standards and rules are followed. • Organize in concert with consultants, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to guarantee the projects are completed on schedule and effectively. • Oversee and verify the equipment and system installation, testing, commissioning, and operation for the project. This involves checking that the systems and equipment are aligned and functioning, doing trials and performance testing, debugging and fixing any bugs or technical problems, and making sure the equipment runs smoothly and safely. • Track and enhance the functionality, effectiveness, and dependability of project machinery and systems. Preventive and corrective maintenance programs, data collection and analysis, opportunity identification and implementation, and optimal resource and energy usage are all included in this. • Make sure that all applicable safety, quality, environmental, and legal standards and regulations are followed. This entails carrying out routine audits and inspections, putting safety and quality processes and regulations into practice and enforcing them, controlling and getting rid of waste and pollutants, and acquiring and keeping the required licenses and permits. • Assist project personnel and operators with technical assistance and training. This entails creating and revising technical manuals and guidelines, holding seminars and training sessions, offering support for troubleshooting and problem-solving, and guaranteeing the competence and capabilities of project staff. • Investigate and fix any faults or technical problems that may occur while the project is being operated. • For project-related machinery and systems, put preventative and corrective maintenance routines into place and enforce them. • Make sure that all applicable safety, quality, environmental, and legal standards and regulations are followed. • Create and send the management with updates and progress reports on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Engineering bachelor's degree, ideally in civil engineering. • Five years minimum of project engineering experience, ideally in the aquaculture sector. • Expertise and experience in plumbing, electrical, control systems, equipment, and aquaculture projects. • Competent with engineering software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD, among others. • Outstanding problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities. • Capacity to operate both alone and together. • The readiness to travel and provide on-site labor as needed. • A legitimate driver's license
